The Caribbean Science Research Competition

CariGenetics in partnership with New England Biolabs (NEB), is pleased to invite submissions for the Caribbean Science Research Competition. The competition welcomes university students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as Principal Investigators (PIs), to submit abstracts that outline research projects.

Abstract Guidelines

Maximum Lengths: 300 Words

Required Sections

Title, Background, Objective, Methodology (brief), Potential Impact

Maximum Lengths: 300 Words

English (French and Spanish submissions accepted with English translation)

Three winners will be selected

and awarded one of three NEB workflows valued at
$500-$1000USD

ONT Sequencing Workflow

including a free sequencing run in Bermuda

qPCR Workflow

complete RNA-qPCR setup with NEB reagents

Synthetic Biology Workflow

resources to support innovative lab projects

Grand Prize

A fully funded trip to Bermuda to conduct sequencing experiments at CariGenetics
